Shubhi is Chief Information and Digital Officer at the Electricity System Operator (ESO).She is a dynamic, experienced, and innovative technology leader, with over 20 years of successfully defining and driving change, modernising digital capabilities, and executing innovative strategies to accelerate business growth.

Shubhi is a driving force in ESO’s digital transformation through multi-layered data and technology change. She is a champion for a digital-first mindset and a leader who continuously challenges the status quo and pushes the boundaries through the adoption of innovative technologies, harnessing the power of data.

Shubhi believes that people are at the heart of successful delivery and is passionate about growing talent in an inclusive environment and developing leaders for the future.

With a career spanning over 20 years in technology, Shubhi has been central to defining impactful digital strategies, building digital products, introducing new ways of working and growing diverse people capability. 

Before joining the ESO, Shubhi held senior positions in British American Tobacco (BAT plc) and BP plc. In BAT, she was accountable for digital and data transformation for the Corporate Functions and designing the technology strategy to enable future enterprise transition. At BP, she delivered strategy, roadmap, and implementation of digital and data services across Upstream.

Shubhi holds a degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Change Management from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. She is also a Non-Executive Director and Board Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) champion for the National Children’s Bureau.

Outside of work, Shubhi loves to spend her free time with her family and travelling to new destinations.
